What’s on in Neutral Bay this autumn
Summer has drawn to a close, and we are finally having a break from endless hot weather.
With cooler days arriving, it’s a perfect time of year to get out and about. So, what’s going on in Neutral Bay this autumn?
Get outdoors
Neutral Bay and the surrounding area are packed with stunning walks that are much easier to enjoy when the temperature is in the low twenties. Walk around Cremorne Point and enjoy views of the harbour and gorgeous colonial mansions, stroll along Balmoral Beach and enjoy the sparkling waters or take a quick saunter through the suburban rainforest of Lower Spofforth Walk Reserve. Check out our earlier blog for more walks in the area.
Anyone for tennis? Or bowls? Or just some socialising? The Neutral Bay Club is another fantastic option for getting outdoors this autumn. Enjoy a round of bowls, or hire a tennis court for a few sets. If you are more serious, tennis lessons are also available, along with serious competitions.
While not entirely outdoors, autumn is an excellent time to visit Nutcote, home of beloved Australian children’s author May Gibbs. The gardens at Nutcote have been restored to the style of the English country garden originally planted by Gibbs, and they are stunning at this time of year. You can also take a tour of the cottage to hear about May’s life there, have a meal at the café, and let your kids enjoy some of the many activities available for little ones.
Eat out
